JC NERR’s Coastal Training and Engagement program provides coastal professionals and decision-makers with up-to-date science, tools, and skill-building opportunities to address critical coastal management issues. Program formats include virtual and in-person seminars, hands-on skills training, and participatory workshops through which participants can share experiences and network.

Program Objectives
- Provide science-based resources for management of coastal ecosystems and communities.
- Develop and utilize decision-support tools and products to support coastal decision-making.
- Provide training and technical assistance that builds community capacity for science-based decision-making in response to local and regional needs.
- Implement performance measures and program evaluations to guide and improve JC NERR products, programs and services.
